Re: Low body temperature?From: Judy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 3 May 2000 13:16:55 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Mia and Kay: I'm always freezing as well. I'm frankly used to the icy hands and feet since I've had them since I was a teen, but lately my symptoms have worsened and I become so freezing at night that I actually shiver myself awake. The sleepier I get, the more my metabolism seems to drop. Does this happen to anyone else?? My nailbeds are normally bluish which I dind wierd, but so far no doctors seem to think anything of it. (My husband is such a gem: In order to get uninterrupted sleep, I now have to wear flannel, socks, yes folks, even a hat and use a heating pad. Otherwise I shiver myself awake repeatedly and am a zombie the next day!!) Thyroid tests always come back "normal." Thanks to everyone's Wilson Syndrome posts, I got curious and started to monitor my temp. every day. So far it averages 94-95.
