Hope you solve the mystery. >Trina Trina, I get those chest pains, AND those headaches. I've since found out my headaches, which feel like I'm being impaled with a needle but through the top of my head and out the roof of my mouth (weird!) were PCOS-related. The explanation I was given by my RE was that it was a "pituitary headache", caused by my mis-firing pituitary gland. The headaches tend to show up when my hormones are out of whack-- an indication that the gland is functioning erratically again, and that's when he readjusts my meds. When I'm back in balance, the headaches disappear again. The chest pains seem to follow the same cycle--when the meds are readjusted to balance out my hormones, the chest pain disappears. Things that make you go Hmmmmm...... Interestingly enough, during the years when I was being misdiagnosed, a neurologist had given me ergostat for those headaches--and it worked. Now they give me Bellergal for my hot flashes... when I take it, the headaches are mysteriously absent. Ten points for anyone who guesses what the common denominator is between the two drugs. Ergotamine. <g> See if your doc can get you something with Ergotamine in it. -Annie
