Hi Alexis, since you have these spasms in your calf, I would first wonder if you are on a low-carb diet? If so, the lack of vitamin C can cause your calves to have spasms, and with most low-carb diets there is a serious lack of vitamin C. Taking one vitamin C tablet a day helps this. I was on Atkins and had the same problem, once I started taking the vitamins, that never happened again. If you aren't on any low-carb diets, I would try the vitamins anyway, they can't hurt! =)

Last night I awoke in horrible pain. I've had quite a few of these in my days.....very bad muscle spasms in my calve. The spasms are so horrible that I wake up screaming in excruciating pain, grasp my leg and there is "what feels like" a very hard ball in there. The pain usually lasts for a few minutes or so but that area remains sore for the remainder of the day....sometimes 2 days! I've never been able to associate these pains with anything and was just curious as to whether or not anyone has ever experienced similar episodes. Any thoughts? Thanks- Alexis >>
