Re: I have severe allergies and asthmaFrom: Linda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 Apr 2000 21:43:58 -0500 (CDT)
Victoria: My 3 year old has had asthma since she was 6 weeks. She also has allergies. Her pulmonologist put her on Singulair, and it has made her 99% better. Any mild attacks she has now can be immediately controlled with albuterol and nebulized nasilide. If it makes you feel any better, the medical community has isolated the gene that causes asthma and allergy and expects to have a treatment to turn it off within a year's time, perhaps two at most. Until then, if you haven't tried it, BEG for Singulair!!
