Re: Question: Mysterious pains in the chest?

Thanks Clara. Kind of ironic that I wrote that message today while I was at school and didn't know how to spell pleuresy (here's the kicker...I'm a nursing major! hee-hee). Anyway, I researched it after the ER visit and one of my good friends is a doctor, so I quizzed her about it too. If that's what it is, I'm not too worried since it's pretty common, but I just wonder if it might be something else because the pain isn't going away like it usually does with pleuresy. My dr. friend told me it occurs often after other types of infections, respitory for example, and I do have asthma and get bronchitis occassionally, so who knows. For now it's a mystery. But, thank you for your concern and the info.
