Re: Question: Mysterious pains in the chest? From: Ginger (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 28 Apr 2000 10:18:50 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Elle- I also experience these pains. Actually a few months ago I had a trip to the ER because I called my doctor's office to ask about them and the nurse panicked (knowing my history and strong family history of heart disease) and insisted I go to the ER. Anyway, I had a chest x-ray, EKG, and a blood test to see what was up and everything was fine. The doctor who saw me concluded it was pluracy (mispelled?), but I'm not exactly sure. I still have these pains every few days, and they scare me but I don't know what to do since all the tests came back normal. It seems that doctors think you're faking it if nothing shows up on a test. I just hope that I don't drop dead from a heart attack some day because something was overlooked! Sorry I don't have any solutions, just wanted to let you know that I get them too.
