Hair problems

I've been reading many encouraging stories here about low carb, chromium, inositol, etc helping with symptoms including facial hair. I have started taking some of these supplements and I am eagerly awaiting some noticeable results. My question is, has this helped reduce hair growth in other parts of the body? I have a lot of hair on my arms and legs and with summer coming up would like to know that I might be able to look forward to wearing shorts on sunny days without having to plan like a military operation, with waxing, shaving etc! Fortunately, I live in the UK so these sunny days don't happen that often!
