Hi, my name is Suzanne. I was suprised to read the information related to the weight. I am about 250 with PCOS and type II diabetes. After 6 months my testosterone level dropped to between 80-90 and after 10 months, it dropped to 39. I have actually started getting some 'normal' periods as well. Good Luck!

couldn't get to a computer. I have to tell you, I just saw a posting on inciid.org's Infertile Women of Size. Someone said her RE had mentioned a study which showed that PCOS ladies who weigh over 250 don't respond to the diabetes medications. I'm 270 (and working real hard it on this week since finding out last week Avandia was denied due to my weight), so I asked her to see if she could get any leads on the reference. I have to wonder if it is as simple as weight, or do we have something else going on as well? I definitely feel at this point that Met is *worse* for me than bcps. When I get the next results of bloodwork, I will have more info. If my testosterone of 182 went down while off met, I will consider that proof of its toxicity in me. Like the brand new facial hair and the worst acne of my life wasn't proof enough already. VERY glad we have this forum so we can all connect and share what! we know.
