Re: Do PCOS drugs help with Hirsutism?

I was diagnosed with PCOS just over two years ago. I was immediately put on birth control pills and although they helped with my cycles, somewhat, the excessive hair only got worse. My family doctor switched me to Diane-35 a year ago, and though it has taken some time, the hair is finally starting to go away on its own. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work immediately...remember, it's not a depillatory...it's a pill. My hair problem is finally at a tolerable level, but it has taken over a year...and the battle isn't over yet, but I'm confident that it will go away in time if I continue to take care of myself and keep my hormones in balance. don't give up the fight!
