Finally, someone who also has allergies to food. Since I started menstruating (irregularly of course), I have not been tolerating a large number of foods. This includes chocolate, caffeine, high fats such as fried foods, cheese, alcohol and tomatoes. I knew this was connected even before I heard of PCOS because my period stopped if I ate the offending foods. It also made me cranky so my family kept their distance!

When I started Rezulin (which will be replaced because it was taken off the market,) I was able to tolerate cheese better. Last month, I added natural estrogen and now I can have many foods that I couldn't eat before. Rezulin helped my insulin resistance so check with your doctor about other medications that do the same.
