Kelley,
Have you read my posts on inositol? My last one is under inositol on an
empty stomach posted yesterday. Having three teenage daughters with
PCOS I have struggled with all the things that go along with that. For
one I have to constanstly fight the diet issue without telling them they
need to lose weight. The low carb diet or more what we do as a whole
food diet is the best way to clear the skin. We are about to do a liver
cleansing diet at the beginning of the summer. The acne is actually
called sugar diabetes by some. My oldest is the one that has suffered
from acne the most. When she is following a low carb/high whole food
diet her face looks much better. Also a Bcomplex vitamin with extra B6
and patothentic acid is also a good idea.(I get the activated forms of
these vitamins) She also uses a acne treatment system by PROACTIVE that
helps tremendously. I order it off of QVC off the internet. But still
if she is eating pizza, bread, pasta, frech fries and just sugar her face
still gets more broken out but the PROACTIVE has kept the cystic acne
away. Liver cleansing vitamins and herbs are good for acne. We just
started milk thistle and alpha lipoic acid that are both liver
cleansing. Lipoic acid is also extremely excellent for insulin
resistance and weight loss. Also the inositol that I tell about in my
other post is a powerful liver cleaner. It clears the liver of fats and
excess cholesterol. The first two or three months of using inositol my
oldest's face got a little worse but she would not drink the 8 or more
glasses of water that I wanted her too to help clear all of it out. She
is doing low carb again and drinking a ton of water and her face is
doing great. She also has lost about 15 lbs in a month. I hope this
helps.
