finally getting somewhereFrom: Jean (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 11 Apr 2000 10:39:23 -0500 (CDT)
My gyn just order a FSH,LH,Prolactin,Testosterone, Total and TSH. She wants me to take these test on the third day of my cycle. Has anyone heard of taking it on the third day? It appears to me she knows more than any doctor I've been to and she even listens. Wow! a doctor that listens. I had a GTT done it came back normal. Actually a little low. We did not test the insulin at the time. If I would of know sooner I would of asked for that to be done. It seems to me that there might be a little pattern here with some of us. Does anyone else see this? Surgar comes back okay a little lower though. Feeling sick, dizzy, wanting to fall asleep during the test. I keep on having all these dizzy and light headedness spells. I think it is low sugar. I have been diagonsed years ago with hypoglycemia and gestational diabetes. We only did the 4hour so I don't know how far my sugar might of dropped if we would of done the 6hour that shows hypoglycemia. Is hypoglycemia showing the insulin problem without having the insulin test? There just seems like there is a connection. My major problems that I have been having is with cyst. Never was regular all my life and now I have one every month. 2 to 3 days real light. Think there is a possibility of perimenopause. Doctor said I might what to think about a hysterectomy. Not sure I want to do that. Anybody have a opinion what that might help. I know it will help the cyst problem but will it make other things worse. She put me on flutamide,bc,fibercon and a hypoglycemic diet. I'm thinking that if I purchase a glucameter and test my sugar when I'm having the dizzy spells that maybe it will show something. It just seems like low sugar levels has a lot to do with it. Would appreciate some opinions on this. Sorry so long
