Thankyou Donna for your response. It is very interesting to hear similar accounts to my own. The tongue thing happened to me. My tongue swells, had burnt white patches and severe cuts to my tongue from my teeth cutting into it. My doctor was useless and didn't even take a scraping or fund out what had caused it-I had this for 3 months. Luckily (touch wood)it hasn't returned. I am also apergic to aspirin and other strong painkillers -get swollen throat (cant breathe) swollen tongue, lips, bridge of nose and under eyes.

I'm seeing my doctor next weds to get a referal to an alergy clinic in London, UK. I hope my doctor will do this, she is pretty uncaring and unsympathetic so chances are slim. I'm also waiting for my referral to find out if I have PCOS (been waiting 8 months) so this could be just as long. My dr will probably think i am a hyperchondriac -its not my fault if loads of things are wrong with me.

Perhaps the alergy and PCOS is a coincidence as not many replies to it.
