Just a thought on the reflux aspect. I also have this problem and was
given rx strength pepsid. But after starting a low-carb diet last May,
my problem has been completely eliminated. Also other GI problems have
virtually disappeared as well, ie. gas. I feel that eating a diet high
in carbs may have caused all of the trouble. This of course goes
against my GI docs opinion. Try Low-carb to see if it helps!
