Hi, I recently wanted to switch my health in surance to Kaiser Permanente in California, but because I was 20 lbs. more than the most weight they would except, they denied me. I am so mad I could spit! I could see then considering me a health risk if i had complications due to my weight, but I excercise and eat right, and YES I may be overweight, but except for PCOS I am in GOOD shape. I am already judged enough in this society by my appearance, and now the HMO's are excluding me too!! What do I do? How do you guys feel about this? Does anyone know any FAT friendly HMO's or PPO's? Or any other health insurance people at all. What do they expect fat people to do when they need to go to a dr. or have a medical emergency? Are we so 2nd class, that they don't care if we die? arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
