Check out the PCOSupport page. http://www.pcosupport.org Of particular interest is the Woman's Day section. The links on this page will give you some great information, but basically the cysts on the ovaries are not the most important feature of PCOS. Most women with PCOS have insulin problems. Many have FSH/LH abnormalities, many have increased androgen levels. The cysts do not cause PCOS. The name was determined before this was discovered.
