By restricting the white flour, rice, potatoes and refined sugar only, you have a diet far more liberal than most of us. There are many of us who have to make choices with our vegatables and fruit.

You can still have veggies, fruit, meat, whole wheats, etc. Fruit is sweet and has no refined sugar. Research has been done that proved that starchy foods like potatoes increase our blood sugar as quickly and as much as sugar. This is why we need to avoid them. You can have just about any other veggie in place of the potato. You can even have sweet potatoes (with only the butter and cinnamon - no sugar).

As far as chocolate, that is virtually a sacred thing and I wouldn't suggest that you go messing with perfection however you may find that by reducing the above dietary items that you have a decreased desire for chocolate.
