skinny, what I would suggest to you is to follow a weight resistant exercise program. When I was young I was on a weight lifting team. I lifted for two hours twice a week and did running exercises (up to 5 miles a day) twice a day as well as walking 1 mile to and from school and regular gym class. By doing this I "postponed" weight gain for several years. When I stopped it caught up to me and I gained 100 pounds since then. I've worked out regularly, watched diet, etc and couldn't get it off until I started the Met in September. So my advice is Don't stop weight lifting! (Muscles burn the sugars better) Sorry so long, Leeza

Being a skinny PCOSer I feel is sometimes worse than being over weight. Please don't get me wrong I think we all have equal concerns. Its just having been skinny my whole life...I dont know what I would do if I gained weight. Individuals that have the weight problems...being diagnosed gives them a reason for why they have the problem. For us skinny women we feel like...OK when I'm going to start gaining and growing hair!

So no matter what should we be prepared to gain weight? I dont want to sound conceided...but I've always been in shape and skinny. Gaining weight and growing hair totally freaks me out!!

I realize I'm lucky because I dont currently have all the symptons but I'm so scared they are going to appear! How should I handle this?

I'm a bit obessed with my health and can't believe this is happening to me.....=(
