paula puffer can you help?From: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 Mar 2000 00:21:12 -0600 (CST)
i have been on my period since dec.19,1999.i went to see my doctor in jan.,just to be sure i wasn't hemorrhaging.everything looked o.k.so,i made an appt.went to see him and a nurse practitioner saw me instead.he had a very booked up day.that made me very angry.well, because he couldn't see me,she put me on loestren and motrin on march 17.told me to take it so my body would stop bleeding.she said it was normal for my period to go on this long, because i hadn't had my period since may 1999.first,my doctor should have prescribed something last year, but he didn't.second, when he told me i had pcos i started crying, because ALL he told me about pcos was i couldn't have children, then asked me why i was crying???third,he only wants to make an appointment IF my husband comes with me.is this weird or what? your response will be greatly appreciated. also, the pills have not stopped the bleeding or the cramps, should i call and get something stronger? thank you.
