Re: Quick diagnosis. Can this be right?From: Molly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 29 Mar 2000 16:30:04 -0800
Hi Ben, PCOS has many symptoms and you don't have to have them all to be diagnosed. My 16 year daughter has many of the symptoms. I did not but still just learned that also have PCOS. It is important information to have but does not mean she will have all the symptoms at some point in her life. Sometimes the birth control pill can mask some symptoms. When my daughter went off the pill, her body went haywire. After diagnosis last August, she started Ovcon35 birth control pill, spironolactone, and metformin. This site is a wealth of information. Please email me privately if you wish and keep reading and learning all you can from this site. These women know so much! Take care!
