I think that you should be tested on a regular basis based on two things: 1) your insulin did go beyond the normal limits set for the two and three hour expectations and 2) we have such a high likelyhood of developing diabetes. I do not know what schedule to put you on, but probably every couple of years, I would want to be tested. Hopefully by then we will have much better information about PCOS. Stay informed about the research so that you will be able to make informed decisions about your health.
