For anyone with medical knowledge! Please reply. From: Jackie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 28 Mar 2000 18:30:46 -0600 (CST)
I was diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago and am now trying to concieve. I start Provera on Friday, and the Chlomid whenever the Provera does it's job. I'm so excited and anxious at the same time. To make matters worse, my ob/gyn nurse called to say that the results of my pap smear showed atypical squomus cells. I did a little research on this and causes of it are usually smoking, early age sex or multiple partners. I don;t smoke, started having sex when I was 18 but I have had 5 sexual partners in my lifetime. (I am 26) is this excessive, have I brought this on myself? The guilt I feel is terrible. Will this affect my fertility treatment? The nurse said not to worry too much about it until my next smear (6 months) but how can I not worry about it? I'm trying to be as stress-free for the treatment but my mind is now working overtime. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for the tremendous support on the board
-- Jackie.
