Re: rough heels: a little pampering can go a long way.From: Anon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 28 Mar 2000 12:48:04 -0600 (CST)
Each night after my shower and before bed I rub an extra >emolliant product produced by Mary K on my heels. I've also come to >believe pure vasoline (petroleum jelly) works. Just by accident, I also >discovered that pure petroleum jelly on my forarms helps with the acne >and extremely dry skin I suffer. I know this sounds greasy, but in my >case, my skin just drinks it up. I rub it in and go to bed. The next >morning both my feet and arms look better. > Yes! The petroleum jelly seems to be the best and least expensive treatment for those dry cracked heels!! I do that at night, too, when my heels are bad. It really helps. Nothing else has ever worked half as well for me. I think the dry heels and other dry skin must be related to our hormonal disorder as pertains to PCOS. I believe someone found some research which indicated that on the old board. Unfortunately, I cannot direct you to the site.
