have 9 year old w/beginning symptoms, any ideas or suggestions?

I have pcos and have a daughter who is now 9 years old w/considerable
weight gain, dark patches, reacurrent yeast infections which im told are
beginning symptoms. Is there anyone out there who might have a daughter
around that age that is currently receiving treatment that might have
suggestions. I haven't had her tested yet but she did see a
pediatrician who states to control her eating in which she hardley eats
and runs from the time her feet hit the ground. No explanation for such
a weight gain. Please, any help would be appreciated.
