I have participated in a few studies at Mass. General Hospital, under Dr. Ann Taylor. You really have to have no fear of blood, needles and not being able to sleep well. Overall I was very glad to have participated. I learned much about PCOS and received excellent medical at no cost to me. If you have a tough stomach and don't mine being poked and proded, go for it! I am planning to participate in two or three different studies over the summer. They even include a small stipend for your time and inconvenience. There are many studies listed on http://www.pcosupport.org site under research. Also don't assume that they are only running what is listed. After checking in w/Dr. Taylor's research assistant, I was told of an additional 4-5 studies that are currently underway. I feel it is a great way to assist others with PCOS and learn alot about yourself. It's one of the best ways to find out causes and treatments.

Good Luck!
