I am certain that Metformin is available in Canada as it is widely used around the world to treat diabetes. Whether or not your doctor feels comfortable prescribing it to you is another story. I am living in Australia (maybe all the commonwealth countries are similar in this respect, who knows) and find that while Metformin is widely available for diabetics, it is considered a 'radical' treatment fo PCOS, even among research type people. All you can do is ask your doctor and maybe a few others! Just in case it helps - Met is also called Glucophage here but is known as Glucomet in New Zealand. If for some reason you can't find it try switching the name :) Good luck! -Sonnet
