QUESTIONS ON PCOSFrom: Risa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 25 Mar 2000 15:48:14 -0600 (CST)
I have 2 questions. I'm 43years old and was diagnosed when I was about 20 with Stein-Leventhal syndrome. I would go a whole year and not menstruate. About 18 months ago I started getting a period every month almost to the day it was due. Can someone tell me how that could happen? My second question is: My brother has a 14 year old daughter who was diagnosed with pcos. I knew I could pass it on to my own daughter but I didn't think I could pass it on to my niece. Does that sound normal? If someone could answer these questions I would appreciate it very much. I remember the pain growing up not feeling normal because all my friends had periods, but not me, I wish you were around back then. Maybe my niece won't feel the pain that I did growing up. Thank you all very much.
