Re: WHAT SHOULD I DO?From: Paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 24 Mar 2000 20:30:12 -0600
New doctor is in order... he's obviously not looking at anything other than fertility.... and you are trying to keep your whole health (if that term makes sense 8-) together. You deserve a doctor that is willing to address your health concerns and not ignore them. But he never did any blood tests for glucose or testostorone levels or anything. or an ultrasound. He did prescribe metformin though. But, today i went to him to address some concerns i had with it. I feel that if i do have pcos, i need to have those tests done (am i right?). he said "call it persistant anovulation syndrome then"(get that). i don't want a baby right now, but definity in the future and i don't want to risk that at all. i want to do all that is in my power to protect my fertility. Is that wrong? He said because i am not trying to get pregnant that i have nothing to worry about. But why should i let it get out of control and then not be able to do anything??? My mom agrees with me, she says it needs to be taken care of as soon as you know about it so it doesn't get worse. Please ladies, help me. what should i do? A new doctor, or is what he saying right - am i overreacting? thanks for any responses cstrain@mailexcite.com Cassandra
