Re: TreatmentFrom: Belle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 24 Mar 2000 22:36:50 -0600 (CST)
I understand what you are asking now. I have been in a fog for the last week due to a cold and I may have just been slow about your question. In my case, I am on metformin, a low carb diet and an androgen reducer. I started all of these about a month apart to reduce side effects but I am not sure which has been the most help. I have found that I do not have sugar "crashes" anymore but I have not had my insulin retested yet. I will be retesting in the summer. My weight has decreased and I am within 15 lbs of my desired weight. My facial hair has seriously decreased in both number and speed of growth. I attribute this to the met because of the timing. Head hair is a different story, my husband tells me he can notice a big difference, my endo says the same thing but I have not seen the difference as much. I may be a bit critical about my hair. Met has been shown to assist women in ovulating in dramatic numbers. My acne is totally gone! Even during my period, I do not get a single pimple. I also attribute this to met because of the timing.
