>Thanks for getting back to me Karen. I'm 36 and have had PCOS and Pelvic congestion (PCS) since 18. Hormones have a tremendous effect on pelvic varicose veins. BC pills and syneral have both brought me very long stretches without pain. Unfortunately, metformin has brought back the pain, since I think it is encouraging ovulation.
Pelvic congestion is very misunderstood. 20% of women with chronic pelvic pain have pelvic congestion syndrome. I'm not sure if you know, but a minor surgical outpatient procedure was developed in 1998 which has shown great hope, but it is not readily done yet. Can you tell me what kind of meds you are being given and more details of what your doc told you. I'm trying to reach more PCS women, because some are quite desperate and I think we can really help each other -- just like this board has helped so many with pcos. Email me here or privately. thanks so much!!!
