GTT resultsFrom: Jean (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 23 Mar 2000 02:18:29 -0600 (CST)
I had the GTT done but not the insulin. My doctor sent a letter saying that they were in normal range. I felt very dizzY and like I could faint the first couple of hours and later that afternoon. My results were fasting 88, 1/2 hour 107, 1 hour 116, 2 hour 106, 3 hour 97, 4 hour 77 Since my last hour is less than my fasting does this sound like hypoglycemia? If I am understanding this right it sounds like it to me. Ginger it sounds still like we are experiencing some of the same things. Even though I went higher than you. My dizziness is a constant thing with headaches. If hypoglycemia is impaired glucose tolerance? Does this mean you have a insulin problem? That is what it appears to me. I have been reading and researching so much I feel like I am going around in circles. I just purchased Gerald Reavens' book Syndrome X it appears it will be quite helpful. I glanced through it and I didn't see anything about PCOS but it is all about insuline resistance and heart attacks. I think everybody needs to relize the risk of heart attacks. I just heard my 43 year old cousin had a heart attack recently. My mom died of a heart attack and with levels of triclycerides being outrageouly high and diabetes my sister has a major risk. Sorry so long I'm up at 2:15 in the morning and feel like rambling.
