Hello, My name is Stephanie and I'm 26 yrs. old and I have been dealing with PCOS for about 10 yrs. now. I'm just about at the end of my rope now though, the hirtuism is killing me, I won't go outside unless I absolutely have to, and even then it's a big production, having to shave, and then being so acutely aware of people looking at my face. I have been lucky enough to have 2 boys, who are almost nine and just turned 3. My husband and I have been ttc again since September, with no luck, but baby #2 took 2 1/2 years so I'm not holding my breath. My dilemma right now is that my doc wants me to stop trying and put me on the pill as my testosterone is through the roof, and an antidepressant as she's worried about the emotional toll this is taking on me. I feel like I'm at some sort of crossroads and I just don't know which way to turn next. February was horrid for me as I hadn't had a period since the beginning of December and was really hoping that just maybe I was pregnant, but then I got a negative test back and my period both on the same day. Now I'm back to wondering again, am I pregnant or just in the midst of one of my awful 65 day cycles. Thx for letting me get alot of this out, my family empathizes with me, but no matter what they will just never understand how I feel.
