I live in Michigan's rural Upper Peninsula. I did not see any doctors in my area listed on the PCOS site. I was diagnosed in August 1999, but my doctor has not offered any advice or treatment since. (I was diagnosed after having a hysterectomy for unrelated reasons. I have one remaining ovary... the other was removed because the doctor hoped it would help decrease facial hair and other symptoms I have... it hasn't, and now I'm beginning to lose hair on my head.) I am 33 years old and my father's family has a history of diabetes, so as I read more about PCOS, I am more concerned about developing diabetes, too. Thank you to anyone who can help.
