What do you mean by "keeping your carbs at 80 or so"? I know I feel
better without carbs but the cravings are so strong. Do you have any
hints, what about herbs or vitamins. I figure I must have to get that
in check. Is Dr. Atkins the best "diet" book?
>> Honestly, I don't have any specific plan. I read a book called the Weigh Down Diet, which doesn't advocate leaving out any one food group, but I did cut back on the carbs last summer. I still ate low-fat chips and cereal and bread and pasta, I just cut way back from what I used to eat. When I did that, the weight dropped off and AF came back, now my cycles have gone from 40 days to 38 days to 35 days and this time it was 31 days. I'm so close to 28 days...I can't believe it. All this and my doctor STILL hasn't gotten back to me to tell me what meds I'm going to be taking to control my PCOS. Now that I know I have PCOS, I've tried to stay under 80 grams of carbs a day. I don't do herbs and only do a multi-vitamin when I think about it. Hope this helps, Les
