Hello my name is Tina and I am from Oklahoma. I have had PCOS symptons since I was 14 and was dx on Jan 12, 2000. I had been complaining to my dr. that since I had my daughter, McKenna (11/09/97) I wasn't having normal cycles and couldn't lose the pg weight. On McKenna's one year check up I told him I still hadn't started my cycle and I had stopped bfeeding at 3 months. Plenty of time for AF to show up. He gave me Provera to make me start and I was late every now and then but still had cycles. I also complain because of the acne on my chest and he said to clean it better. (Like I wasn't already scrubbing it. duhhhh) Anyway I still had acne and then my cycles where going to 58 days. I called and made a appt. I nov. and they did several pg test. He decided to send me to a RE in Jan. At my appt in Jan my RE did the blood work and a sonogram and found out I had PCOS. Both of my overies looked like a bunch of grapes. He decided to put on my birth control pills. I wasn't handling the pills very well and was in a bad mood 24/7, so I called my RE back and he gave me a lower dose BCP. After three weeks on that pill I found out they are causing my blood pressure to go up. So last week my doc took me of BCP's and I start taking Provera the first of the month. I really wish my doc would put me on Met but he said it wasn't a opt. for me. This I don't understand.uggg Anyway I go back to the doc next week to check my blood pressure again and I guess we'll go from there.
