I'm nearly 29, overweight, have had irregular periods since I started having one back in 5th grade, have had few or no periods in the last 9 years along with trying for 8 years to get pregnant (our son is now 6 months old and a true blessing), I have darker areas of skin on the back of my neck, under my arms and slightly more facial hair than I used to. My mother has diabetes as well as others on her side of the family. My doctor is sending me for an ultrasound next week but could PCOS still be a problem even if it doesn't show cysts? HELP!! It would really be nice to find out why I have had these problems.
