Pamela,

When I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1996 I felt so good about it. The only feelings that I had before I was diagnosed was that I just wanted to get an answer to why I was overweight, having heavy menstrual periods, excess hair growth, acne, and of course water retention that caused my weight gain. Having that answer was a big help to me. Unfortunately, it didn't help me figure out why I was still having intense pelvic pain. In Aug of 1997 I found out that I had endometriosis.

I want to wish you all the best with your dr's appt tomorrow, and please feel free to e-mail me any time whenever you want to talk.

Take care,

Kristy :) Jacksonville, FL

It's the little things that count: candy, flowers, finding an ob/gyn who will listen, and finding a cure for endometriosis, vulvodynia, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
