Not necessarily, I have found that if I follow a healthy diet and do a
moderate amount of exercise I stop gaining weight but don't lose it.
But I find that if I sticky to a calorie control diet and exercise, the
weight has falls off. Whereas before I would just stablise with the
same efforts.
I'm currently on 1500 cal per day and I walk 45-60 minutes 4 times a
week, so astanga yoga once a week.
