I too am on metformin, and the side effects are too much for me actually. I have not gotten my period, and for the 4months that I have been taking them, I did get my menses once, and that lasted for nearly 9 days, which never happened. I stopped leaving the house because of the diarhea and the nausea...its so awful to me, I feel it in my stomach now, like i want to throw up. I cannot stand the feelings I get, taking this metformin...Im so sorry people, but I am getting discouraged in taking these pills, i dread putting one in my mouth, they are almost getting to be a phobia....does anyone know an alternative that will help me regulate my menstrual cycle, someone told me about a pill that will help it come in 3 days, i think it started with a P or something ( I know I am horrible with this stuff lol). I plan to ask my ob too, but she seems to be stuck on prescribing me with met. Please respond soon...Thanks
