does metformin, then, help you lose weight? I was on birth control pills to, well, avoid pregnancy and regulate periods. I have always had irregular periods, so when I stopped the pill, I didnt get my period for 6 months. I was then diagnosed with PCOS, and now I have gained about 10 pounds. I take three pills a day with meals (Just started)... will this help me lose weight too? my insulin levels were normal, but I was still told to take it. any feedback? Maya
