looking for advice.....From: Amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 13 Sep 2003 22:54:31 -0500 (CDT)
I am 25 yrs old diagnosed with pcos for nearly 3 years now, I have been on a metformin/spironolactone regimen for the last 2 1/2 years along with the occasional clomid treatment. Two years ago I got pregnant on my first clomid trial of 100 mg, but sadly lost it 7 weeks later. Since then I have had no more pregnancies, gained more weight (30lbs) grew more hair than I can control, and hair loss (head). It took me a year to get my periods on a normal schedule of 21 days, unfortunately that lasted for only 8 months, now they are 45-59 days in length. What should I be worried about, and what should I discuss seriously with my specialist at my next appointment?
