I was recently told that I have PCOS because of a lab test. I missed the last three periods and that is why they check out my hormone levels. However, I am 40 yrs old, 5ft8, 142 pds, always had regular peiods and never had a poblem with becoming pregnant. The only true symptom that I have is I stop having a period for some reason. Is there other reasons for this that I should consider other than PCOS. Because I smoke, birth control tx is not an opption so I am not sure what to do. I don't understand why now, when I have never had any of the symptoms in the past except for currently stopping having a period. Thank you, Stephanie Head
