-- Hi you, I had to write to you when I read you were going to take Diane-35, I took it for about 13 years non stop to help me with hairloss and hirutism. I was just diagnosed with PCOS now being 29. My endocrinologist immediately stopped my intake of Diane-35 and prescribed another bithcontrol pill which does not promote weight gain (like Diane-35) and is not as bad for your body. Get a second opinion if possible. From my experience I can tell you that eventhough all bodies are different Diane-35 did not stop my hair loss it did not help me with excess hair everywhere else they only thing it did was work as a contraceptive. I'm now being treated with a pill called Aldactone which has many other uses but it helps to stop hairloss and over hair growth in unwanted areas. I've been on this pill combined with new birthcontrol (they must be taken together) the best part is that at least the weight gain stopped, I have lost weight and eventhough my self esteem is not up I am doing what is in my power to help my body. Good luck and if possible seek a second opinion from an endocrinologist that has experience with PCOS. : )
