Smart move on your part or your dr's or both maybe to go with the glucophage XR. I had so many problems with the generic and it seems alot of other people have too. If you can afford the non-generic, it's totally worth not even hassling with the metformin.

I hope everything works out with you and you are able to keep your diabetes under control with such a mild dosage--it would be spectacular. I wouldn't be surprised if your health IMPROVED on it.

Make sure you drink lots of water before bed--I always wake up with my lower back/kidney area hurting because of dehydration due to the glucophage xr.
