I think, don't know for sure, that some formulations of the Pill can cause some individuals to gain some weight. But you also need to take into account that a big weight gain, and a steady one, is more likely the result of PCO than of only the Pill.

Go ahead and get new blood work done. Things may have changed for you since 1998.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to the OTC and FSH/LH question, for sure either. But I would think that you wouldn't do that test while on the Pill. You're not having a normal hormonal cycle on the Pill, anyway.
