Sounds like your docs have good intentions, but are not seeing the whole picture.

Please go see an endocrinologist who is experienced. They need to make sure that PCOS is the root cause for all your problems. Other possible causes can be thyroid or adrenal. Hypothryoid is relatively common amoungst women with PCOS and may cause your symptoms.

Although there are some really good ob-gyne out there, many are not experienced with PCOS.

Don't give up. Do keep trying. For the diet, I can only recommend eating what really makes your body feel good (I don't mean candy etc) - keeping low carb approach in mind. Diet, medication, exercise are all part of the management of this - and finding a really good doc to work with you can make all the difference.
