I'm 20 with hyperinsulemia.. not too many symptoms of PCOS.. mainly acne an weight gain.. but my main concern.. is a condition called melasma.. which im sure u have all heard of... the odd thing.. i got the melasma immediately after going OFF the pill (ortho tri cyclen) i had no melasma while on the pill... i have finaly thought (with the advice of my RE) that maybe going back on the pill would help.. as my RE seems to think the pill 'protected me' from this condition my question... should i go on a combo pill like i was before.. maybe back on ortho tri.. or go on one that will help with my acne as well.. (yasmin.. its the one i really wanna try:-( ) or should i go on a progesterone only pill to counter act the estrogen possibly causing the melasma? my doc says to go on one kinda like i was before.. he recommended yasmin to try first.. i would love to hear any advice.. thank yall so much :-) Next message: Lori: "Re: So Confused!!"
