Re: I'm sixteen and have some questions about pcosFrom: Jenni (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 12 Aug 2003 06:11:39 +0000
Hi Erica My name is Jenni I am 21 i found out the day before my 21st birthday that i had POCS. I like yourself am also a bit confused, I dont think that my doctor has any idea of what POCS is as the information that me gave me was very limited and was printed off the net. I am currently awaiting for a scan but am experiencing pain in the abdominal area it dosent matter how fast i get up or the way i walk i am constantly in pain. I am overweight but havent always been i was a size 10/12 up until i was 16 then i could just look at fatty foods and put weight on. I didnt think anything about it as my family arent skinny they are all around the 16/18 size. I had regular periods also up until 2002 (20 years old) then i thought that i was pregnant as i missed a period for 3/4 months and was getting fatter. I went to the doctors who told me that they couldnt find anything wrong with me (which i found strange) as i had NO periods and was always tired and very moody. I was finally told in January of this year ( nearly 8 months after my visit to the doctors) that i had POCS and to this day am still confused. I know that knowlage comes with time but i am a very impatient person and need some answers so if i find anything out i will e-mail you and i would be greatfull if you could do the same. So keep you chin up and kkep smiling Jenni
