Prolonged Coasting With PCOSFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 5 Aug 2003 19:53:11 -0500 (CDT)
I was wondering if anyone with PCOS has been instructed by RE to do a "prolonged coasting" of not injecting with fertility medicine for a couple of days to see if the estradiol levels stabilize. I am on CD 9 with 8 eggs taking center stage. The biggest is 13 and the smallest is 10. My estradiol level is about 3,000. He wants to "coast" me until Thursday to make sure I don't hyper-stimulate. Anyway, has anyone ever gone through this or something similar? I realize every woman is different, but will be eggs likely continue to grow over the next couple of nights and what will likely happen to estradiol levels? I am 29 with PCOS. Thank you for any input.
