Hi. I'm not a professional, just someone that's had pcos for almost thirty years. I too was very worried about the side effects. But I had almost no side effects from spiro and metformin. Even if I had, it would have been worth it. Metformin completely transformed the way I feel. It's a wonderful drug and well worth trying. Good luck
